Carson A.

Carson, is currently a sophomore and is the starting Keeper for his high school and is actively working to play at the college level. Carson has trained with Coach Mark since 2018.  Carson started training with Coach Mark to supplement his competitive club training.  We continued to sign up for extra training sessions because when you train with Coach Mark, you always know you are getting the very best.  As a parent, I know it will be money well spent on Carson’s Keeper development. We have since moved out of state and Carson continues to travel back to Idaho to train with Mark.  Here is what Carson says about Coach Mark:

·        He is upfront, honest and tough.  I always know exactly where I need to improve and he helps/guides me on what I need to do to get there.  This is exactly what I need (and          want) to help develop my game to the next level.

·        His training drills are unique, intense and purposeful.  They help me prep for any game scenario.

·        Conditioning - Coach always says the most fit player on the field should be the Keeper.  I know when I leave one of his camps or sessions, I will be exhausted and I love it.

·        Accountability – Coach holds me accountable for my development.  He asks, at every training, what I want to improve on and he holds me to it.  Afterall, it is up to me                    to be ready to play at the next level.

Carson and I would, without hesitation, recommend Coach Mark for your Keeper training.  He is an invaluable wealth of knowledge and he will help your Keeper reach their next level.

Mark's goalkeeper coaching is perfect for all ages, even adults. I had been away from the pitch for years when I started training again as part of my "comeback." I did countless sessions on fitness, technique, nutrition, and the all-important mental aspects of the GK game. We worked in the gym, on the field, in groups, and one-on-one. I was always challenged but never overwhelmed. Every session I learned something new and took another big step forward. Thank you, Mark, for being my coach and mentor!

Indi A

My daughter Indi guest played in Idaho for for the Rush Club, we were recommended to reach out to Mark to get a little extra goalkeeper training and to learn something about how this Club trained their keepers and how the team played.

What we got was so much more, the training was tough, but so beneficial on so many levels, and Indi has taken what she learned from Mark and has incorporated it into her play and her growth as a goalkeeper (she currently has 23 college offers), we attribute that in part to the huge impact Mark had on Indi, she still talks about him.

What we also got,  but did not expect, was a mentor for us and Indi for many more years after that experience.

We have been able to reach out for advice for Indi's future and for her present soccer career.

We would recommend Mark and his program to anyone that has aspirations to grow and learn as a keeper, or even as a field player. His knowledge and mentorship is worth it's weight in gold.

Lexi F

My daughter Lexi attended her first camp with Mark in January of 2018.  Wow, what a difference this training was compared to what she had received in the past!   The keepers were constantly moving throughout the entire session with no waiting in long lines.  He paired them up with other attendees of similar age, and kept things interesting, challenging and fun throughout the sessions.  She was exhausted at the end!  Every minute of the camp was meaningful, and every drill had a purpose.

Since then, she has attended many camps, Friday night trainings, and individual 1:1 training sessions with Mark.  Every session is thoughtfully prepared and works on all aspects of the position, from footwork and agility to positioning, proper hand position, proper diving technique, you name it, he will train your keeper for it.

Lexi is now a senior in high school, and on her Senior night last fall, gave Mark special mention in her speech for believing in her and pushing her to be the best goalkeeper she can be.   Mark is dedicated to improving each and every keeper he works with, and while he is tough and has high expectations, he is also very supportive and makes training fun.  His love of the game and desire to have his students succeed is remarkable.  We are fortunate to have had Mark working with Lexi these past few years.

“I would highly recommend goalkeepers of any age or ability work with Coach Mark. His training sessions have given my daughter the skills and confidence needed to play this challenging position. Not only does he work on goalkeeping skills, but also speed and agility; something that is needed everywhere on the field.” -Stacey Hopstad

Calvin P.

After working with Mark, we noticed a big difference in our son's (Calvin) field performance.

Through repetitive and varied drilling, Mark's sessions helped Calvin develop an intuition for where to be and what to look for. The muscle memory Calvin developed with Mark was most notable when several successive tries on goal were met with instinctive leaps,

slides, and instructions to teammates. We couldn't be happier with the investment that led to Calvin's skill and confidence.

Thanks Mark!

Allister

Allister, who is 11 years old, and plays for the Idaho Juniors U12 Club team, has been working with Mark for just under a year now and has progressed more than I could have ever imagined.  He plays like seasoned goalkeeper even though he has only played the position for a year, mostly due to Mark’s coaching.  Mark is an amazingly patient coach with kids of all ages and comes prepared to every GK session with many different practice and conditioning drills, and a myriad of training equipment.  I have watched Mark train young kids and teens and his training methods work for all ages.  He has a great rapport with the kids and most importantly, the kids all seem to really enjoy him.  Allister has attended Mark’s Friday evening GK sessions, summer camps, and does weekly private sessions during the season.  Its rare to have a youngster ask for extra training, but every week during this past soccer season, Allister asked if he can do a training session with Mark.  Thats speaks volumes about Mark.
